Young Shots events in East of England.

The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), has announced dates for a number of Young Shots training days in the East of England.

The first will be held at Heacham, near Kings Lynn, Norfolk, on 27th July from 10.30am until 4pm. The second event will be hosted on 29th July from 10.30am until 4pm at Sporting Targets, Riseley, Bedfordshire. On 4th August, BASC will run a Young Shots training day at Fennes Shooting School, Bocking, Essex, along with the Countryside Alliance and the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.

All three courses are for youngsters who have just started or are about to start shooting. They are aimed at teaching safe and responsible shooting and its place in the countryside. Participants must be aged between 10 and 17-years-old. Qualified shotgun coaches will carry out the tuition. The cost of the day is £15 per person and cartridges, clays and shotguns will be provided.

The events are limited to 40 places. They are all open to BASC members and non-members.  BASC Young Shots are encouraged to bring along a friend. BASC extends its thanks to Heacham and North West Norfolk Wildfowlers’ Association for the use of the ground in Norfolk.
