Young Shots events in the South West.

Young Shots in the South West of England will have a number of opportunities over the coming months to increase their knowledge, hone their skills and enjoy some fun and informative days.

BASC South West’s 2012 Young Shots  progression programme  will take place over two days. The first, which will be held on the 24th August, will cover shotgun legislation and  quarry identification and will include a two hour clay shooting lesson.

The follow-on day, which will be hosted on the 31st August, will include a BASC safe shot assessment, a clay shooting flush and an air rifle competition.  Both days will be hosted in Street, Somerset.

On the 22nd September BASC South West will run its first ever Young Shots Introduction to Ferreting day, which will be held near Bodmin, Cornwall.

On the 2nd November BASC and Lackham College in Wiltshire will run an Introduction to Deer Management day. The syllabus will include all aspects of deer management from tracking through to food production.

The progression days cost £40 per day and the introduction days cost £20 for BASC members.
