Test Valley Charity Clay Shoot

The South East regional team were once again pleased to support the Test Valley charity clay shoot on Friday 11 May 2012. This prestigious event, which has raised a significant amount of money over recent years for both cancer research and Kings Somborne village hall, enjoyed much support from both individuals and local business’s alike.

Around 120 people took part in the event, and both Dan Reynolds and Justin Clarke were on hand to discuss current issues with those attending. This year, the event raised an impressive £13,500 for the beneficiaries. As in previous years, a charity auction was held. Lots included five rods on the river test, a weekend break in Monte Carlo and the chance to shoot the first patent boxlock non ejector made by Anson & Deeley in the 1800’s. After the event, the gun was donated to a museum making the successful bidder the last person to fire this historic weapon.

The event will be held again next year on Friday 10 May at the Acorn Shoot, Compton Manor, King’s Somborne, Hants. For further details look at their website www.tv-charityclayshoot.org.uk
