On 9th November BASC South East hosted a network lunch at the Denbies Wine Estate near Dorking, Surrey. The event was attended by representatives from local police forces and firearms licensing officers, as well as Natural England, The Forestry Commission, The National Farmers’ Union and Sparsholt College. Also attending were representatives from a number of shooting syndicates and clubs within the region including Langstone & District Wildfowlers and Conservation Association, Biggin Hill & District Widlfowling and Rifle Shooting Club, Kent Wildfowlers and the Highworth Shoot in addition to BASC Council members Ray Walters and Lee Freeston. The aim of the event was to introduce BASC to other organisations with an interest in wildlife and the environment, shooting or firearms licensing within the South East region. BASC Chief Executive, John Swift and South East Regional Director, Dan Reynolds both gave brief presentations to the assembled guests, who then had the opportunity to put questions to them before continuing discussions over lunch.
