Ladies Activity Day at Lisnalea Rod & Gun Club – 15th September

Ladies Activity Day that took place at Lisnalea Rod & Gun Club on Saturday the 15th September. This has helped to promote country sports and raise money for action cancers, breast cancer awareness in northern Ireland.

The event was organised due to the success of the Men’s Activity Day which took place in April. The club decided to run another event for the ladies and it proved to be just as great an event. The day gives women the chance to come along and participate in mixed teams, so that they can experience may different country sports like, clay pigeon, rifle, pistol and laser shooting. Other sports include fly casting and archery. The Ladies Activity day had a great turn out of all age groups, who had a terrific days entertainment, which was once again hosted by the many members of the club, to ensure that everyone had of fun filled day. The club committee would like to thank all of its members for their help at these occasions, as they would not be possible without them. The committee would also like to thank the following sponsors who kindly donated to help with the running of the event – Thomas Shilliday, Cross Refrigeration, Outdoor Experience, Bolton Filling Station, Village Bakery Markethill, Steven Sands & P M Engineering Ltd – Dungannon. With their help and the running of the two events, the club has raised £2000 for Action Cancer. For more information on Action Cancer visit www.actioncancer.org or call 028 9080 3344.
