One of Wales’ top anglers Nica Pritchard will be on hand to teach other women about fly fishing at a country sports activity day being held near Cardigan in Saturday 04 April.
The ladies-only event at Ffynnonwen Country Pursuits in Aberporth, which has been organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), will also be an opportunity to try clay target shooting, falconry and watch gundog displays.
BASC’s country officer for Wales, Meurig Rees, said: ”These events offer women the opportunity to make contacts and practise their skills in a friendly environment and these days are increasingly popular as more women are becoming interested in country sports.”
Participants are not required to hold a shotgun certificate and all the equipment, shotguns and cartridges will be provided. The day is open to non BASC members and costs £35 which includes morning coffee, two course lunch and afternoon tea. For more information or to book your place contact Meurig Rees at BASC Wales on 01239 851631.
