Game?s On in the South West.

 

People in the South West will have a chance to try a taste of game as part of a campaign run by the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).

A number of pubs and restaurants are taking part in BASC’s National Taste of Game Fortnight.

The Devon Wildfowling and Conservation Association will host a game evening today (November 17th) at The Globe Hotel, Fore Street, Topsham, Devon. Phone 01392 873471 for more information.

 National Taste of Game Fortnight is part of BASC’s ongoing Game’s On campaign to encourage people to enjoy eating game.

Most of the participating outlets will be serving game throughout the shooting season. Several will be making special offers to BASC members during National Taste of Game Fortnight, which launched on 6th November and will run until 20th November. They are:

The Bell Inn, Parkham, Bideford, Devon, will have game on the menu during National Taste of Game Fortnight and will offer a free bottle of wine for a table of two on presentation of a BASC membership card. Phone 01237 451201.

The Brace of Pheasants, Plush, Dorchester, will serve a range of game meat throughout the season and will offer a free dessert to BASC members during National Taste of Game Fortnight on presentation of a BASC membership card.
