Young shots activity day at Plumpton College

More than 40 Young Shots attended a country sports activity day at Plumpton College in East Sussex on 30 July.

The day, organised by BASC in conjunction with the college’s gamekeeping course tutor Neil Bianchi, included clay shooting, air rifles, fly fishing, gundog handling, ferreting and rural skills. The air rifle activity included a competition with the best shots all winning a pair of Deben binoculars.

BASC regional officer for the south east, Jenni Thompson, said: “It was particularly good to tie in with the college’s gamekeeping course as it gave our Young Shots the chance to visit the pheasant rearing field and learn about gamekeeping from the college’s staff and students.”
