BASC South East’s regional officer Jenni Thompson was invited to talk to Bicester Young Farmers Club (YFC) about the association’s work this week.
Jenni talked about BASC’s work at national and regional levels, shooting & conservation and how the two go hand in hand especially highlighting the important work of the BASC Green Shoots projects. The talk also introduced YFC members to the importance of gun safety in the field.
Matthew Burberry, Bicester YFC’s chairman, said: “BASC provided our club with a fantastic presentation, very informative with all club members learning that there is far more involved in shooting sports than simply shooting live game and that much of the species in the wild would not be there if it was not for the hard work of those people maintaining the countryside whether for their interests or their business.”
