BASC’s shotgun coaches smashed more than clays at the weekend when they broke the record for the number of lessons given during a game fair.
Over 500 people of all ages had a clay shooting lesson with BASC over the three days of the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace.
Lessons cover everything from gunfit, safe handling and live firing on clay targets with BASC coaches catering for everyone from the complete beginner to the experienced shot.
BASC’s training and evaluation officer, Jane Matthews, said: “Our coaches worked so hard over the weekend in extremely hot weather to provide expert training to hundreds of people who wanted to try clay shooting and we’re really proud to have beaten our previous record of lessons given at a game fair. The coaches do such a good job and have encouraged a lot of people to take up shooting following their lesson at the game fair.”
