‘Wine and Game’ new guide goes online

A new guide, which will help food lovers choose the perfect wine to drink with their game dinners, has been launched this week.

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), with help from Tanners of Shrewsbury, has selected the best wines and champagnes to accompany all types of game including pheasant, woodcock, venison, grouse, partridge and rabbit.

The booklet, which is available to download online, is part of BASC’s Game’s On campaign which encourages more people to eat game.

Game’s On spokesman, Simon Hamlyn, said: “This is the first time that a guide of this type has been produced and is another good example of how the Game’s On campaign is working to help people enjoy game as a regular part of a healthy diet.”

The guide is available to download from www.gameson.org.uk.
