One of Britain’s best loved independent brewers is producing a special beer to celebrate the BASC centenary.
With the Hook Norton Brewery in Oxfordshire, BASC will be producing a centenary beer called Double Barrelled. For every bottle sold, 5p will be donated to BASC.
It will be launched at the CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace on the 25 July, but will be available, by the case, wherever you live. An initial production run will be 10,000 bottles, and there will also be a draught version available three weeks before and continuing one week after the CLA Game Fair. The bottles will cost £1.69 each or £20.28 per case of 12 bottles.
Commenting on the creation of Double Barrelled, BASC director of operations Simon Hamlyn said: “This is great news for the BASC centenary celebrations. What better way to celebrate a 100 years of success than with a beer produced by one of the leading independent brewers in the country?”
Brewery managing director, James Clarke, said: “Hook Norton Brewery is extremely proud to have worked with BASC in creating Double Barrelled. Being a rural independent brewer with an interest in conservation it is important that we aid organisations like BASC wherever possible.”
