A booklet aimed at providing people with all the information they need to try wildfowling is now available from the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
Mark Greenhough, BASC’s wildfowling officer, said: "The latest wildfowling permit scheme booklet is designed for shooters who have never been wildfowling as well as the experienced wildfowler who wants to shoot in a new area. It provides a basic introduction to the sport and information on where people can obtain wildfowling permits throughout the UK. "
There are also informative sections on wildfowling and the law, fieldcraft, the legal restrictions on lead shot and the various alternatives to lead shot available on the market plus a section containing a quarry list and the BASC wildfowling code of practice.
To request a copy of the booklet, email wildfowling@0ld.basc.org.uk or phone 01244 573011.
