BASC has launched a new online guide today to provide up to date information on the control of pest birds, following the latest general licence renewals across the UK.
This resource will make it easier for people to locate the latest general licences and what they contain. General licences provide a legal basis for the control of certain pest birds at any time of the year subject to certain terms and conditions being followed.
BASC’s policy development manager, Dr Conor O’Gorman, said: “Whether you shoot woodpigeons or trap crows, general licences provide the legal basis for your activity. This new resource will help anyone with shooting and conservation interests by linking all the relevant information for the UK in one location.”
