The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has struck a delivery deal for trade members, giving them a significant discount with Parcelforce Worldwide.
The deal entitles trade members to a discount of at least 15 per cent off Parcelforce Worldwide’s standard tariff.
The two organisations have been in discussions about the new carriage deal since October 2009 and it has been trialled by BASC’s head office in Rossett, near Wrexham, since January.
David Ilsley of BASC said the deal was one of the many benefits and discounts available to trade members.
He said: “We needed a delivery company that could offer national coverage, with an established network of services that was flexible enough to deal with small, medium, large and very large businesses. It was very clear from the first meeting that Parcelforce Worldwide could offer a very competitive range of services that would cater for small to large packages and small to large volumes.”
More than 800 trade members are registered with BASC, many of whom offer discounts to BASC members. They include gun shops, hotels, shooting grounds and other suppliers.
