BASC and Calor to provide gas safety training for gamekeepers

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and Calor have joined forces to provide gas safety training for gamekeepers.
Awareness days on how to use gas safely in the game rearing field will be held in Somerset, Derbyshire and Cumbria.

BASC believes that high standards in all areas of game rearing are crucial and that the safe use and handling of gas cylinders is essential.
The training is specifically aimed at gamekeepers, who will get hands-on experience as well as a good theoretical grounding on the safe handling and use of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

The gas safety awareness field days will be held at Higher Church Farm, Barton St David, Somerset, on 12th April; Foremarke Hall, Repton, Derbyshire, on 29th April and at Newton Rigg College, Cumbria, on 5th May.

The cost of attending these days has been reduced to £25 for BASC members or £35 for non-members  –  a 70 per cent reduction on the usual price.
For more information and to book places, call Sarah Bann from BASC’s Game and Gamekeeping team on 01244 573019.
