BASC South East attend the Kent Choices 4U careers fair

Once again, BASC South East attended the Kent Choices 4U career’s fair, organised by Kent County Council on the 13/14 March 2013.

Now in its second year, the event was held over the two days at the Kent County Showground, Nr Detling, Kent. During this time some 1500 school children, 850 school leavers and a further 1200 adults currently receiving a job seekers allowance attended the fair. HRH The Duke of York was present on the second day where upon he spoke with a number of exhibitors.

Justin Clarke, regional officer commented ‘ this gave us a great opportunity in which to interact with a mainly urban based audience of varying ages and backgrounds. Along with explaining the benefits that game and wildlife management brings to the countryside, we were also able to talk with attendee’s about the various courses that are available through the regions agricultural colleges ’.
