BASC Midlands Young Shots introductory day 18th May 2013

Young people in the Midlands will have a chance to try out a range of countryside activities on the 18th May 2013.  The event organised, by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) will be held at Garlands Shooting Ground in Staffordshire.

The day will give 8 to 17 year olds a taste of several different activities including the opportunity to learn safe handling of shotguns and air rifles, clay pigeon shooting with BASC-accredited coaches, air rifle shooting and a selection from a range of other interests such as gundog training, pigeon decoying and building a hide (activities can vary). All levels of experience will be provided for.

The day will cost £20 and will run from 10:00am until 3.30pm. It is open to both BASC members and non-members. Places are limited so advanced booking is essential.

A second Young Shots introductory day in the Midlands region will be held on the 13th July at the Herefordshire College of Technology, Hereford.
