BASC has secured a 15 year lease of sporting rights on Crown Estate foreshore along the upper Humber estuary for the Alkborough Wildfowlers and Conservationists.
The lease includes a five year consent for shooting on foreshore within the Humber Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
BASC’s Lis Burgess, who assisted the club, said: “We are very pleased that the club can now use this security of tenure as the bedrock of its stewardship of shooting and conservation on the River Ouse.”
BASC has secured a future for wildfowling on over 95 miles of foreshore in England and Wales in the last year by helping wildfowling clubs successfully renew their Crown Estate sporting rights leases and their consent applications on SSSIs.
