Bumper taste of game season ahead in Northern Ireland

There will be plenty of opportunities for food lovers in Northern Ireland to enjoy game meat during National Taste of Game Week (14-21 November).

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has already organised five ‘Taste of Game’ evenings in the Province with more restaurants and pubs expected to announce further events in the coming months:

12 November – The Plough Inn, Hillsborough, Co Down
13 November – The Pheasant Restaurant, Annahilt, Co Down
14 November – The Cuan, Strangford, Co Down
19/20 November – Mambojax, Newtownstewart, Co Tyrone

Booking details for each event can be found at: http://www.0ld.basc.org.uk/en/games-on/topnav/events.cfm

BASC Northern Ireland’s Amanda McCallion said: “We are delighted at the number of restaurants that have embraced Game’s On within the Province. We certainly hope that more will come on board. It’s tremendous to see local produce being served in local establishments, helping sustain local business and offer the opportunity to taste and enjoy game.”
