People taking part in this year’s Countryside Clay Shoot will have the chance to shoot some of the finest shotguns in the world for charity, courtesy of globally renowned gun maker James Purdey & Sons.
The charity simulated game shoot, over six drives will be held at the Six Mile Bottom shooting estate in Cambridgeshire on Saturday 14th May.
It will raise money for the Gamekeepers’ Welfare Trust (GWT) and the CLA Charitable Trust and is being organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and the CLA.
For a £20 donation on the day, people can use a shotgun manufactured by world-famous gun maker Purdey, holder of Royal Warrants from Her Majesty the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Prince of Wales.
Organisations, businesses and individuals are being encouraged to enter teams. Teams of four will compete across six stands with a mix of simulated game targets. Entry costs £600 per team which is £150 per person and includes hospitality.
The winning team will receive the Hugh van Cutsem Challenge Cup, dedicated to the memory of the keen shot and countryman.
