TASTE OF GAME is offering the chance to be a judge at the British Pie Awards next month.
As sponsors of the ‘Speciality’ class, Taste of Game has launched a competition to allow one lucky pie aficionado to join their judge at the tasting ceremony in Melton Mowbray on March 9.
Taste of Game development manager Annette Cole said: “Everyone loves pies, they are a great British tradition. I can’t think of a better way to spend a day than tasting some of the finest pies in the country.
“This is also a great opportunity for us to encourage pie makers to think about game in pies and showcase how the addition of game meat to a product can really benefit a business.”
Matthew O’Callaghan, chairman of British Pie Award organisers Melton Mowbray Pork Pie Association, said: “We’re thrilled to have Taste of Game on board as a sponsor; a very fitting brand for the awards and, in particular, for the speciality meat class.
“We are also delighted to be teaming up to offer one very lucky person the chance to get involved with judging the pies, a very rewarding role.”
To enter the competition, go online here to answer the question: “Melton Mowbray is famous for which type of pie?”
Judging takes place on Wednesday 9th March, with the awards ceremony at a luncheon two days later.
