A new website has been launched by the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). It will become the most comprehensive source of shooting information in the UK, with news and information covering BASC’s work for shooting across different disciplines, by specialist department and through its network of offices across the UK.
www.0ld.basc.org.uk will provide users with details of shooting opportunities in the UK and around the world, with people able to opt-in to receive updates on the latest shooting offers as they are added to the “Go Shooting” section.
Visitors to the site will be able to take advantage of BASC member offers such as discounts on 4×4 vehicles, working dog insurance and gun insurance. BASC trade members will be listed in a directory with maps, location and ratings. Users will also be able to browse BASC’s growing library of films.
The Taste of Game section has been expanded to include details of game dealers and restaurants on an interactive map making it easier to locate your nearest supplier. Events such as dinners and tastings will be listed along with tips and recipes from Taste of Game chefs and individuals.
The website’s new look and navigation makes it easier to locate information on all aspects of shooting and conservation and sharing information on social networks will be made easier.
David Ilsley, BASC’s head of marketing & membership services, said: “With this new site we want to make the BASC website into a world-class resource for shooters, making it easier to find and take part in shooting – and to make it clear for all to see what fantastic benefits are available when you become a BASC member.”
