New BASC calendar features work of rural artist Simon Trinder

CalendarThe work of acclaimed rural artist Simon Trinder is featured in BASC’s 2017 calendar, which is on sale now.

Simon has been a professional artist for more than 15 years and paints wildlife and landscape sketches from memory. He is particularly well known for his work on wildfowl and wild places.

Simon said: “It has always been a great honour to be asked to do the cartoons for the BASC calendar. I enjoy having a bit of fun at the expense of shooting, dog training and country life in general. I feel that we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously sometimes, even though our sport means so much to us.”

The calendar can be purchased from Fur Feather and Fin for £5 here and will also be sold from BASC stands at shooting events around the UK.

David Ilsley, BASC’s head of marketing and membership services, said: “This calendar features 12 designs by a great cartoonist. Each month has its own hilarious artwork and features one full line for each date, with plenty of room to add shooting dates, holidays, birthdays and more.”
