Natural England needs to move quickly to repair the damage, BASC tells The Times

BASC has told The Times that Natural England needs to move quickly to repair the damage done by the decision to revoke three general licences.

In a letter to the newspaper published today, BASC chairman Peter Glenser QC reiterated that the decision was taken without consultation with the rural community and said it was “an appalling way to do business”.

Mr Glenser said: “The new chairman of Natural England, Tony Juniper, needs to move quickly to repair the damage done on his first day in the job.

“This decision was taken without notice and without consultation with stakeholders; it is an appalling way for statutory bodies to do business.”
