Women in Leicestershire will have a chance to try clay shooting at an event hosted by the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).
The event will be held at the Field Sport Activity Centre, Lount, Leciestershire, on 26th June.
BASC-accredited shotgun coaches will provide lessons which will be followed by lunch and further shooting practice.
Sue Ecroyd, event co-ordinator at BASC Central England, said: “On the day you will be part of a small group and will be allocated a BASC coach who will remain with your group throughout the day.”
“The day is ideal for the novice shooter or complete beginner, although the more experienced shot will still benefit from the one-to-one tuition. If you’ve already started shooting, the day offers you the opportunity to improve on your skills and meet other women who are keen to become involved in clay shooting.”
The cost of the day is £45per person. This includes all coaching, cartridges, clays, gun hire and all safety equipment, lunch and refreshments.
Sue Ecroyd added: “You may bring your own gun, with appropriate certificate. BASC will supply 20 and 12 gauge cartridges. Other calibres can be accommodated, but should be discussed when booking.”
Places are limited so booking is essential. The day is open to BASC members and non-members.
