Ladies’ shooting conference to be hosted by the Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club with BASC.

Chelsea Bun Club 3A conference for women who shoot will be held at Harper Adams University in Shropshire on Saturday 3rd August 2013. The event, the first of its kind, has been organised by the Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club (S&CBC), a ladies-only shooting and networking club, with a fondness for cake.

The event is supported by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). It will feature seminars and workshops from industry leaders on subjects such as practical gun care, clay and game shooting and firearms law.

The day will also include competitions such as the best cake and the BASC Taste of Game pie contest which will also highlight the benefits of eating game.

Bill Harriman, BASC’s director of firearms, and Peter Glenser, a barrister specialising in firearms and fieldsports law and a BASC council member, will lead a seminar on firearms licensing. BASC’s director of English regions, Steve Bloomfield, will give a talk on the history of BASC and the organisation’s current work.

A rural marketplace will include stalls selling a range of shooting accessories from bespoke gun slips to shooting scarves.
