Great British Game Week will return next week to celebrate the fantastic taste of wild game once again.
The week will run from November 19th to 25th.
BASC’s Taste of Game, Countryside Alliance’s Game to Eat and – in its first year, the British Game Alliance – will collaborate to promote wild game to both beginners and experts in the game world.
Now in its fifth year, Great British Game Week provides the opportunity for businesses and individuals to push the health, taste and environmental benefits of eating wild game to new markets and audiences.
Taste of Game’s Annette Woolcock said: “Great British Game Week is the ideal opportunity to showcase the great taste of game while highlighting the natural landscapes it inhabits. Each year more artisan business are developing game meat products and this year we are seeing more game in supermarkets so let’s celebrate it.”
Jack Knott, Game to Eat campaign manager, said: “Great British Game Week provides the perfect opportunity to raise the awareness of this fantastic source of protein. The week is open to all and we look forward to welcoming all chefs, butchers, game dealers and home cooks.”
Tom Adams, managing director of the British Game Alliance, said: “The BGA is really excited to be launching its quality assurance scheme, giving more stockists and consumers confidence in the source of their game. Great British Game Week is a great opportunity for people to think differently about game, after all it’s the healthier alternative to chicken.”
