Gamebore to sponsor BASC .410 World Championships 2015

.410 championshipsGamebore Cartridges will once again sponsor the BASC .410 World Championships, a clay-shooting competition using the smallest calibre shotgun in general use.

The event attracts people from around the world and is organised by the UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC). This year Gamebore will again be donating three thousand .410 cartridges as prizes.

The competition will be held on 12th September at the Mid Wales Shooting Centre near Caersws, Powys. Competitors can enter the open, ladies or junior classes (under 18) plus an additional class for BASC members and a pool shoot. The winners of each class will receive Gamebore cartridges, a silver salver, a trophy and a BASC goodie bag. The overall high gun will be presented with the .410 challenge cup and be crowned BASC.410 World Champion.

David Scott from Gamebore said. “We are proud to once again sponsor the .410 World Championships. We have signed up with BASC and the Mid Wales Shooting Centre to also sponsor the .410 World Championships for the next two years and hopefully beyond. The event is growing in popularity and provides an exciting and challenging opportunity for shooters to test their skills with this increasingly popular calibre. As well as a serious competition with shooters from far and wide attending, it is always a very friendly event and provides everyone with a lot of fun. If anyone hasn’t tried their hand at shooting clays with a .410, they should come along for what is a very enjoyable and well- run event with some great prizes.”

Meurig Rees of BASC Wales said: “We are pleased that Gamebore will once again sponsor the BASC .410 World Championships. I have seen this event grow year-on-year with people attending from around the world to compete with their .410 shotgun, a small gun with great capabilities. I look forward to once again working with David Scott and Gamebore as well as welcoming this year’s competitors on the day.”

Jono Garton, BASC Council member, said: “This event is a highlight of the BASC Wales calendar. Good luck to everyone taking part.”

The competition will start at 10am with last entries at 2pm. If you do not own a .410 shotgun and wish to enter then please contact Meurig Rees to check the availability of borrowing a .410 shotgun on the day (shotgun certificate must be produced).
