Visitors to this year’s BASC Gamekeepers’ Fair will get the first glimpse of the latest additions to the 2015 range of Browning, Winchester and Miroku shotguns and rifles. The Gamekeepers’ Fair will be held on the weekend of the 11th and 12th of April at Catton Park, Walton on Trent, Derbyshire. Many of the shotguns will be available to “try before you buy” at the BASC shooting experience, which will form a major part of this year’s fair.
People will be able to shop at more than 200 trade stands and see entertaining arena demonstrations. There will be Taste of Game cookery demonstrations, a food village and a BASC Deer Stalking village. People can take a clay-shooting lesson with a BASC-accredited shotgun coach and enter a range of competitions including the BASC gundog scurry league and clay shooting contests.
This year there will be a new clay shooting layout sponsored by Browning, Promatic and Eley. The layout includes something for everyone from beginners right through to a 100 bird competition including compact, high pheasant flush and a pigeon decoying challenge. The shooting experience will have its own car park, picnic area and catering facilities.

I am especially pleased for the visitors to the Gamekeepers’ Fair who will be able to see these new guns for the first time.”
David Stapley from Browning said: “We are very much looking forward to having a bigger presence at Catton Park this year. We will have demo guns available to try from our stand including the new 2015 product launches of the B725 Hunter UK Black & Gold 20g, as well as the new ProTrap range.”
The fair and the shooting experience will be open from 9am until 5pm on both days and experts from BASC will be on hand to answer questions on all aspects of shooting and conservation.
Tickets to the Gamekeepers’ Fair cost £8 for adults in advance and £10 on the gate. Children up to the age of 15 go in free. For more details and information on clay lesson and competition prices, click here.
