Find wildfowl shooting opportunities in updated BASC guide

Wildfowling Permit 200607.qxdOpportunities for BASC members to try wildfowling are detailed in an updated Wildfowling Permit Scheme booklet produced by BASC.

The guide can be found online.

The booklet is designed to provide information to people who have never been wildfowling as well as the experienced wildfowler. It includes contact details of clubs which are willing to take people out to try wildfowling for the first time or to try wildfowling in a new area.

It provides a basic introduction to the sport and information on where people can obtain wildfowling permits throughout the UK.

Mark Greenhough, BASC’s Wildfowling Officer, said: “This year sees a new entry to the booklet from the Lancashire forum of wildfowling clubs.  This is a try wildfowling scheme and provides a number of wildfowling opportunities on estuaries on the North West coast of England.  I am delighted that the clubs in this part of the country have joined the permit scheme and I would like to take the opportunity to publicly thank them for their support.”

BASC chairman Alan Jarrett said: “This year’s booklet contains some new clubs to the scheme and fully updated contact details for all of the participating clubs. Also contained in the booklet are informative sections on wildfowling and the law, fieldcraft, a quarry guide and the wildfowler’s code of practice all of which help keep the modern wildfowler updated on current best practice in the sport.”
