BASC starts 2018 with rise in membership

BASC’s membership grew again in 2017 to more than 152,500.

BASC chairman Peter Glenser welcomed the new members to the association. He said: “We are delighted that the BASC family continues to grow and I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of our new members.

“Every single extra member gives us the power to continue our work to promote and protect sporting shooting. The size of our membership adds to the weight of our influence.”

David Ilsley, BASC’s head of marketing and membership services, said: “2017 was a fantastic year for BASC with our membership hitting and exceeding a record-breaking 150,000. We will not be sitting on our laurels – far from it – we are confident that if we continue to deliver the best package for shooters we will continue to grow.”

BASC members will receive complimentary entry to The Game Fair for each of the next three years. Following the success of last year’s event, when 28,000 BASC members attended Hatfield House, The Game Fair organisers are offering BASC members complimentary admission and reduced admission for their guests until 2020.

Mr Glenser added: “We are looking forward to seeing many of our members at this year’s Game Fair.”
