A Young Shots’ Introductory Day will be held at Clevedon near Somerset on the 22nd September 2013.
The day, organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), and Clevedon Wildfowling Association will give young people a taste of countryside activities including archery, the opportunity to have a shotgun lesson and the chance to try air-rifle shooting with BASC-accredited coaches. Visitors will also learn about gundogs, hide-building, pigeon decoying and wildfowling.
David Gervers, BASC’s South West regional director, said: “I am delighted that BASC South West is hosting another Young Shots’ Introductory Day. It is important that young people who want to learn to shoot are taught to do it safely and correctly. The event in Clevedon will provide a number of enjoyable tasters which will allow young people to learn countryside pursuits and build on the basics.”
The event starts at 9:15am and costs £20. The day is open to both BASC members and non-members. Places are limited so advanced booking is essential.
