Three special evenings are planned to go ahead in September, October and November. All starting on Wednesdays at 6.30pm, BASC Roving Receptions will give attendees a chance to enjoy drinks, canapés and talks on various gun-related subjects by well-known professionals. Admission to all events cost £25. Fine wines will be provided by The Wine Company along with beers from award-winning Hook Norton Brewery.
The first evening will take place on the 9 September at the historic William Evans London Gunroom at 67A St James’ Street. Alastair Phillips, the gunroom manager, will give a talk on the history of Williams Evans, one of the oldest and last remaining independent gunmakers in London. For anyone interested in purchasing a William Evans, Alastair will also give details on their current range of shotguns & rifles. For those interested in London’s gunmakers, this should be a great night to learn more and meet likeminded people.
The October reception will be held at the world-renowned Holland & Holland store, 33 Bruton Street, on 14 October 2015. The evening will include a talk from Andrew Ambrose on the history of Holland & Holland, their modern guns, and a presentation in the Brevis Room of the Holland & Holland collection of antique guns.
The November BASC Roving Reception will be held at the flagship Knightsbridge store of Ray Ward Gunmakers at 12A Cadogan Place on the 11 November. Further information will be released closer to date.
