Gundog with pheasantA gundog evening with expert speakers providing guidance on the health and well-being of gundogs will be held at Stockbury village hall, Stockbury, near Sittingbourne, Kent on the 7th December 2013.

The evening, organised by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) and sponsored by Chudleys dog food, will include a presentation by qualified vet Vicky Payne. Vicky, a regular columnist in Sporting Shooter magazine, will discuss typical injuries to look out for during a day’s shooting, first-aid for dogs and dietary needs.

The presentation will be followed by a question and answer session with Tony Price, Sporting Gun magazine’s gundog training expert and owner of Tawnyhill Gundogs. Kennel Club “A” panel field trial judges will also be on hand to answer questions.

Justin Clarke, BASC’s South Eastern regional officer, said: “Anyone who already owns or wishes to own a gundog will benefit from the BASC gundog evening. It will provide expert guidance and advice which will help owners to have a happy, healthy dog that they can be proud of in the field.”

The event starts at 7pm with free admission for BASC members and a £2 entry fee for non-members. For further details please contact the South East regional office on 01306 631378, or email Justin Clarke at justin.clarke@0ld.basc.org.uk
