BASC has been made aware by members that the Natural England email box for licence applications is now full and sending back messages that it cannot accept applications.
BASC chief executive Ian Bell said: “This is completely unacceptable, and indicative of the shambles and lack of thought and planning that has characterised this whole debacle.
“I am personally contacting the chief executive of Natural England to seek a speedy resolution to this mess.”
In the last hour, NE has said their mailbox system is being extended to deal with the volume of enquiries and the associated forms are being republished in other formats.
