BASC on BBC Countryfile

BASC featured on last night’s episode of BBC’s Countryfile.

In a feature about activities carried out by junior school pupils, BASC was shown giving a clay shooting lesson.

Presenter John Craven described the activity as being taught under the “watchful eye” of BASC.

BASC England director Dan Reynolds said: “We were delighted to see the BASC flag flying on the BBC in front of millions of viewers.

“Just last month we introduced 4,000 youngsters to sporting shooting at NORJAM 2018 – a week-long Jamboree which brought together scouts and guides from around the world and BASC made clay shooting available to more than 7,000 young people at the Essex International Jamboree in 2016.”

BASC chairman Peter Glenser QC said: “We are focused on opening up pathways to shooting sports, for example through our Young Shots programme. Teaching the responsible and safe use of firearms to younger people removes the myths and teaches self-control and responsibility towards others.”
