BASC Northern Ireland team offers range day for members

BASC members in NI are being offered the chance to test their skills at a range day at Baronscourt Rifle Range later this month.

Members will be able to familiarise themselves with BASC deer-calibre centrefire rifles, under the supervision of a qualified range conducting officer and safety staff. Participants will also have the opportunity to shoot both revolver and semi-auto pistols.

All supervision will be on a one-to-one basis and those taking part may bring their own firearms provided they have been conditioned for zeroing or target shooting on approved ranges.

The event, on Saturday, June 17, starts at 10am, costs £20 and is open only to BASC members.

BASC NI director Tommy Mayne said: “This is a great chance for members to test their skills, improve their shooting technique and network with others who shoot.

“The day is exclusively for BASC members and a number of Baronscourt’s deer stalking guides will be on hand to talk to anyone interested in the BASC Baronscourt Deer Stalking Scheme.

“The day also provides an excellent opportunity for those booked on our deer stalking course in August to find out more about the shooting and safety assessment aspects of the DSC 1 course.”
