BASC will launch a new series of wildfowling workshops across the UK this spring, with the aim to make wildfowling more accessible.
BASC’s head of wildfowling James Green said: “For the first time this year, we have decided to trial a new format so we can reach more ‘fowlers and better enable discussion about local issues as well as the core national and international concerns.
“These regional wildfowling events will supplement the traditional national conference which will now be held every other year.
“Each conference agenda will still allow for an update on national issues, but will also allow wildfowlers to discuss affairs specific to their region.
These events are open to anyone from prospective ‘fowlers looking to learn to the seasoned mud-slogger and there is no geographical boundary.”
Two dates have so far been fixed, with more in the pipeline.
- Scotland – Saturday 16th March – BASC Scotland office. Click here for more information and to book.
- South of England – Saturday 23rd March – GWCT Head Office, Fordingbridge, Hampshire. Click here for more information and to book.
Spaces are strictly limited so prior booking is essential – either via the booking link or by contacting the BASC wildfowling team on 01244 573000, with tickets costing just £5, which includes lunch.
Green added: “For those of you who are interested in attending but are unable to get to these events, please don’t panic as additional events will be organised in other areas of the country for later in the year.”
