BASC gave the BBC the facts about airguns in a BBC television interview as the government review of airgun licensing in England and Wales came to a close.
BASC’s senior firearms officer Mike Eveleigh emphasised the importance of education in reducing airgun misuse in an interview with BBC Points West.
Mr Eveleigh, a retired police officer, said: “I was glad to have the opportunity to give BBC Points West and its viewers the facts about airguns. I made it clear that education is crucial.”
Mr Eveleigh explained that since 2010, the law states that airguns, when they are not used, should be stored securely away from under 18s.
