BASC and Countryman Fairs gearing up for Easter event

BASC and Countryman Fairs have joined forces to host a show to celebrate the countryside over the Easter weekend.

The Kelmarsh Country Show will be held on April 16th and 17th at Kelmarsh Hall in Northampton.

The BASC Gamekeepers’ Fair and Countryman Fairs’ Kelmarsh Country Show have traditionally taken place in April just an hour’s journey apart, so now visitors can enjoy one event over Easter Sunday & Monday.

BASC will deliver ‘The BASC village’, which will feature membership services and representatives of the gamekeeping, deer management, firearms and wildfowling departments. There will also be a trophy measuring service and game butchery and cookery demonstrations on the main BASC stand.

Staff from Northamptonshire Police’s firearms licensing department will also be on the BASC stand, while BASC-accredited coaches will be offering shotgun and airgun coaching.

Steve Bloomfield, BASC’s operations director, said: “It makes perfect sense that our two organisations come together to create one exceptional country sports-focused event.

“BASC is the biggest shooting organisation in the UK and Countryman Fairs are experts in delivering high class outdoor events over many years. This is very exciting news for both exhibitors and visitors alike.”
