BASC Central has welcomed a new regional officer.
Matt Dutton, who has worked as game and gamekeeping officer at BASC since 2014, will cover the West Midlands.
A former head keeper and gamekeeping lecturer, Matt developed a passion for country sports at a young age and has an interest in all types of shooting.
He said: “I’m looking forward to meeting current BASC members and enticing new ones as I get out and about. I’ve always loved any type of shooting and what it brings to people and I look forward to promoting and introducing people to BASC across the area.”
Lewis Thornley, director BASC Central, said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome Matt into the Central England team as a regional officer. “He has worked in and around the shooting industry for many years and brings a wealth of experience to this role which will add strength to the region.”
Sarah Turner, a member of BASC Council, said: “Matt’s expertise in all elements of game shooting, combined with his knowledge of all other shooting disciplines and BASC, will be a huge asset to the membership and the central team. This is a fantastic appointment and we look forward to watching Matt progress within his new role.”
