BASC is set to boost its presence in South East England with the recruitment of an additional regional officer and a move to bigger offices.
With a growing membership, now at over 144,500 nationally, BASC is making additional investment to bolster frontline services for members.
The creation of the new post will help support the region’s growing membership.
The successful candidate will cover the counties of Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Berkshire and Surrey and will also assist BASC’s South West England team with activities in Wiltshire.
Dan Reynolds, BASC’s Director South East England, said: “The creation of this new post demonstrates our commitment to putting members first and ensuring that our resources to provide support services are matched to our rapidly growing membership within the south east.
“We are looking to recruit someone with a strong background in shooting and conservation and who has ties to the shooting communities in the areas which they will work.”
John Thornley, chairman of BASC’s England committee said “We started the year with the news that our membership now stands at over 144,500 – the highest total in more than a century of the association’s existence. As our membership continues to grow, we will continue to expand to help support our members.”
