BASC at the CLA 2015

CLA picBASC will have a major presence at this year’s CLA Game Fair, which will be held at Harewood House, Leeds, from 31st July– 2nd August.

The association will have a stand on Gun Makers’ Row, where expert staff will be on hand for the duration of the event. Sections of the stand will focus on firearms, conservation, gamekeeping, research, training and standards and wildfowling. There will also be a deer management section, which will provide a trophy measuring service.

BASC members will be able to get advice and information on firearms licensing from West and North Yorkshire police.

People will be able to meet the BASC North team and the BASC North Young Shots Ambassadors.

There will be Taste of Game cookery demonstrations throughout each day and people will be able to buy game from Willo Game.

The Wildlife Habitat Trust will launch its 2015 fundraising stamp, Mallard on Bridgwater Bay by Jackie Garner at 11.30am on Friday 31st July.

BASC’s membership team will be on hand to recruit new members and renew existing memberships and the Westmorland Wildfowlers Association will be manning their display on the wildfowling section of the stand. Pigeon experts Chris Green and Matt Cole will also be there to provide advice and expertise.

BASC will be running a shotgun coaching line where our high quality coaching team, sponsored by Eley, Browning and Promatic, will offer expert tuition and advice. Game fair visitors can try shooting for the first time or sharpen up their skills.

There will also be gundog scurries sponsored by Chudleys dog food.
