BASC will have a presence at Countryman Fairs’ Lowther Show, which will be held at Lowther Castle near Penrith, Cumbria, on 12th and 13th August.
Visitors to the BASC stand will be able to get information and advice on membership services while also having a chance to try shooting using BASC’s state-of-the-art Shooting Simulator with BASC coaches.
BASC North staff will be on hand with information about BASC Young Shots projects and advice on how to get involved and the stand will also feature supported trade and associated members.
Duncan Thomas, BASC North regional director, said: “Lowther is one of our showcase events in the North of England and we are delighted to have the full team there. Come and see us for a catch up, all are welcome.”
Clay shooters will go head to head in the BASC National Clay Shooting Competition, which is being held as part of a Clay Shooting Festival hosted by BASC and Countryman Fairs at each of Countryman Fairs’ shows in 2017. Prizes will be up for grabs each day for the top shots and at each shoot, winners in each class will qualify for a place in the Grand Final at the Midland Game Fair in September.
BASC-accredited coaches will be giving clay and airgun coaching lessons on both days.
Samples of game meat will be available from Northumberland Game to taste.
