£3,000 raised at BASC ball

IMG_2960 (002)Over £3,000 was raised for BASC’s Young Shots programme at a shoot ball hosted in Staffordshire.

More than 100 guests enjoyed a three course game dinner, a sporting auction and live music by rock ‘n’ roll band ‘The Buddies’ at the shoot ball, hosted by BASC, at Hoar Cross Hall near Burton on Trent.
A sporting auction, hosted by Duncan Thomas, BASC’s acting regional director for the North of England, raised £3,000 for the BASC Young Shots programme in Central England. A donation of £250 will also be made to the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Lewis Thornley, BASC’s regional officer Central England, said: “It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and celebrating the end of the shooting season. I am overwhelmed with people’s generosity, it shows true support for the future of shooting. Thank you to everyone who came along, everyone who helped organise the event, the auction donors and those who donated on the night.”

Jewellery designer Rachel Elizabeth Wood was also in attendance with a display of her latest designs.
