The UK’s largest shooting organisation, the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC), will host a quiz night and barbecue in Suffolk.
The events will be hosted at the Queen’s Head pub, Hawkedon, Suffolk, on 15th July.
The quiz will consist of 50 countryside-themed questions. Teams of up to six people can enter at a cost of £5 per person. Individuals who attend will be put into teams.
The barbecue will cost £15 per person, which will include a donation to BASC. The menu includes muntjac kebabs, venison sausages, rabbit burgers and pigeon breasts.
William Heal, BASC’s eastern region director, said: “You are very welcome to attend the barbecue without entering the quiz. However, we very much hope that you do both. We very much look forward to seeing you there and enjoying what will be an excellent evening, meeting some like minded sportsmen and women and above all tasting some of the Queen’s Head delicious barbecued game.”
People are asked to arrive for 7pm and the quiz will get underway at 7.30pm. The barbecue will start at 8.15pm. Tickets must be booked in advance. Places are limited and the closing date for applications is 9th July.
Every effort will be made to keep to the menu but it may have to be amended owing to non-availability. For more information and a booking form, visit www.0ld.basc.org.uk or phone the Eastern Regional Centre on 01284 728752 or Reg Grainger on 01284 789345.
