BASC adds to its team in the east of England

The British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC) has appointed a new regional officer for Eastern England.

Simon Reinhold joins BASC after working for Lings Country Goods in Norfolk as their gunroom manager. He has also worked as a gunroom assistant with Holt’s Auctioneers and Bonhams and has been involved in a great deal of voluntary work on showgrounds, such as Chatsworth and Holkham.

Simon, who will be based at the BASC Eastern regional centre at West Stow near Bury St. Edmunds in Suffolk, said: “I’m relishing the prospect of representing the area I have lived in all my life and the sport I am passionate about. With the wealth of shooting we have in the East, and the contribution the shooting community makes to the environment and the local economy, I’m honored to be representing the sport that is part of the fabric of life in this region.”

BASC regional director for the east, William Heal, said: “Membership in the region has been expanding rapidly and it is a pleasure to welcome Simon to the team to help with the many demands on the regional staff.”
