Members of the Rangemore shooting syndicate gave up their Saturday to help out and keep everyone safe.
As well as shotgun lessons provided by BASC coaches Trevor Forster, Richard Carpenter and Anne Lichfield, the youngsters were able to enjoy air rifle shooting with the Promatic Sharp Shooter automated target system. There was also falconry, gundog training and, new this year, traditional long netting and ferreting with Richard Edwards of Heritage Pest Control. Each Young Shot got the chance to handle ferrets and set their own long-net under Richard’s watchful eye.
