A Staffordshire gamekeeper has been appointed as the British Association for Shooting and Conservation’s new regional director for the Midlands.
Steve Bloomfield, who was the head gamekeeper at Bretby Park near Burton-on-Trent, will take up the post on 25 February.
He has an extensive background in gamekeeping and has also worked as an area sales agent for Barbour. Steve is a keen game shot and stalker.
Steve said: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to work for BASC members as regional director for the Midlands. I hope the thirty years spent in field sports, game management and conservation will prove to be valuable in this important role. I am particularly keen on the training and education of young people and look forward to working alongside the excellent regional team of Liz Lamb and Viv Hutton as well as all our members in the challenges that will face us in the future.”
